Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between Get Myst OÜ (“Lipi.ai”, “we”, “us”) and you, the user, governing your use of the Lipi.ai website and services.

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using any feature of the Service, you confirm you have read and accept these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

What we offer

Lipi.ai provides:

• Font identification: upload an image, get likely font matches.
• Font generation: create custom fonts from text prompts, reference images, or handwriting samples.
• Font Studio: edit individual glyphs and kerning of generated fonts.
• Font marketplace: buy fonts from other creators or list your own for sale.
• Developer API: programmatic access to font identification and URL compliance scanning.
• Copyright check: identify potential font licensing issues for fonts in your designs.

Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or older where required by local law) to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You may sign in via email/password or Google. Multiple sign-in methods linked to the same email address are merged into a single account.
• Notify us at contact@lipi.ai immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Credits and pricing

Generation features run on a credit system. New accounts receive a number of free credits; additional credits are granted with each font purchase. Credit costs per action and license prices are shown on the relevant pages and at checkout.

We may change prices, credit costs, or grant amounts. Changes apply prospectively only. They never affect a license you've already purchased.

Font licenses you can buy

Marketplace (selling your fonts)

If you list a font for sale on our marketplace, you confirm that (a) you generated it on Lipi.ai or own all necessary rights to it, (b) it does not infringe any third-party trademark, copyright, or moral right, and (c) you accept the marketplace creator agreement displayed at listing time.

Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect; you must complete Stripe's onboarding (KYC) before earnings can be paid out. We retain a platform fee on each sale, disclosed in the seller dashboard. We may remove a listing without notice if it appears to infringe third-party rights or violate these Terms; in that case any pending payout to the listing is withheld pending resolution.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content you do not have the rights to (copyrighted images, trademarked logos belonging to others, or material protected by personality rights).
• Use the Service to generate fonts that imitate a recognisable copyrighted typeface in a way intended to deceive or substitute for the original.
• Bypass rate limits, abuse the API, or run automated scraping against our endpoints.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our model weights or pipeline internals.
• Use credentials or API keys other than your own.
• Generate content prohibited by §5.3 above.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where the violation is severe (e.g. illegal content), we may report it to law enforcement.

API access

Developer API access is subject to additional limits documented at /docs. API keys are tied to your account; you are responsible for keeping them secret and for all usage they incur. We may rate-limit, throttle, or revoke API keys that abuse the service. Refunds for failed API calls are issued automatically via the credit system.

Refunds

Digital font deliveries are non-refundable once the font has been generated and made available for download, because the asset cannot be returned in any meaningful sense. If a generation fails on our side (e.g. our pipeline crashes mid-job), credits are refunded automatically and you can re-run the job.

For exceptional cases, such as billing errors, accidental purchases of the wrong license tier, or issues with a font you believe materially fails to deliver, email contact@lipi.ai within 14 days of purchase. We review these case-by-case and resolve fairly.

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. By starting a font generation, you expressly consent that the digital content will be supplied immediately and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once delivery has begun (CRD Article 16(m)).

Intellectual property

• Your content: you keep ownership of everything you upload (style references, prompts, handwriting samples). You grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of delivering the service to you.
• Generated fonts: you own the licensed rights you purchased, see §5. Without a purchase, generated fonts remain in preview-only state and may not be used outside Lipi.ai.
• Our software and brand: the Lipi.ai platform, name, logo, designs, and source code are owned by Get Myst OÜ. These Terms do not grant you any licence to use them beyond accessing the Service.

User responsibilities and intellectual property

Section 10 above governs ownership of inputs, outputs, and the Service itself. This section governs your responsibility for ensuring the inputs you upload and the outputs you generate do not violate the rights of third parties.

11.1 Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any style references, images, prompts, or handwriting samples you upload to the Service, and any fonts generated based on them, do not infringe on the intellectual property rights, trademarks, trade dress, or other proprietary rights of any third party. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the materials you upload and to use the generated fonts for your intended purposes.

11.2 No verification

Lipi.ai does not independently verify whether your inputs or generated outputs infringe on any third-party rights. The Service generates novel font designs based on stylistic input, but it is your responsibility to ensure that generated fonts do not replicate protected trademarks, logos, or trade dress in a way that could constitute infringement.

11.3 Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to: (a) generate fonts intended to deceive consumers into believing they originate from or are affiliated with another brand; (b) replicate registered trademarks or trade dress without authorization; (c) create counterfeit goods or materials; or (d) violate any applicable law, including intellectual property and trademark law.

11.4 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lipi.ai, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) any claim that materials you uploaded or fonts you generated infringe on the intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party.

11.5 Limitation of liability on generated content

Generated fonts are provided “as is”. While Lipi.ai grants you the license rights specified at purchase, we make no warranty that any generated font is free from third-party claims, and we are not liable for any damages arising from claims that your use of a generated font infringes on the rights of others.

11.6 DMCA and takedown

If you believe that content on Lipi.ai infringes on your intellectual property rights, please contact us at legal@lipi.ai. We will investigate and remove infringing content in accordance with applicable law.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We rely on third-party cloud, payment, and AI providers, and outages of those providers may temporarily affect specific features. Status updates appear at /status. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced in advance where practical.

Disclaimers

Font identification, copyright analysis, and URL compliance results are provided as guidance, not as legal advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any conclusion before acting on it for a commercial or legal purpose. The Service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights under EU law are not affected.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or personal injury).

Termination

You can close your account anytime from your dashboard or by emailing us. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or applicable law. Termination does not affect licenses already issued. Purchased fonts remain yours under their respective licenses, and we will preserve a download link for them for a reasonable period after closure.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes arising out of these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Harju County, Estonia, except where mandatory consumer law gives EU consumers the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence. EU residents may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
