Revenue Share Program

Setting Up Stripe Connect for Payouts

To receive your 70% share from font sales, you need to connect a bank account through Stripe. This is a one-time setup that takes about 5 minutes.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • A Lipi.ai account with at least one font listed (or in the process of listing) on the marketplace.
  • Your legal name and date of birth for identity verification (required by Stripe for financial regulations).
  • A bank account or debit card where you want to receive payouts. Stripe supports most countries and currencies.
  • Your phone number for two-factor authentication during Stripe onboarding.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Open the Payout Setup page

There are two ways to get there:

You will see a progress tracker with three steps: Account Created, Details Submitted, and Active.

2

Click “Start Setup”

Clicking the button redirects you to Stripe's secure onboarding portal. Lipi.ai uses Stripe Connect Express, which means:

  • Your banking details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
  • Stripe handles identity verification, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • You get your own Stripe Express dashboard to manage payouts.
3

Complete the Stripe form

Stripe will ask you to fill in the following sections:

Business type

Select Individual if you are selling as yourself, or Company if you have a registered business entity.

Personal details

Your legal name, date of birth, and home address. This is used for identity verification and is required by financial regulations.

Phone verification

Stripe will send a code to your phone number for two-factor verification.

Bank account or debit card

Enter the account where you want to receive payouts. You can use a bank account (routing + account number) or a debit card in most countries.

Tax information (if applicable)

Depending on your country, Stripe may ask for a Tax ID or SSN. This is for Stripe's tax reporting, not shared with Lipi.ai.

4

Return to Lipi.ai

After completing the Stripe form, you are automatically redirected back to the Lipi.ai onboarding page. You should see:

  • All three steps in the progress tracker turn green.
  • A “You're all set!” confirmation message.
  • A button to open your Stripe Express Dashboard where you can manage your payout settings.

From this point on, any earnings from font sales are automatically transferred to your bank account on a rolling basis.

After Setup

Viewing your earnings

Go to Dashboard → Creator → Earnings to see your total earnings, pending payouts, and a breakdown of every sale.

Managing your Stripe account

Click “Open Stripe Dashboard” on the onboarding page or the earnings page to access your Stripe Express dashboard. From there you can update your bank account, view payout schedules, and download tax documents.

Payout timing

Stripe typically processes payouts on a 2-day rolling basis for most countries. The first payout may take 7–14 days while Stripe verifies your account. After that, payouts arrive automatically.

Troubleshooting

Status stuck on “Details Submitted”

Stripe may need additional time to verify your identity. This usually resolves within a few hours. If it persists beyond 24 hours, click “Continue Setup” on the onboarding page to see if Stripe needs additional information.

Earnings page shows “Payouts on hold”

This means your Stripe Connect account is not yet fully active. Complete the onboarding steps above. Once Stripe confirms your account, the earnings page will update automatically and any held earnings will be released.

Stripe asks for documents I don't have

Requirements vary by country. Stripe may ask for a government-issued ID, proof of address, or business registration. Check Stripe's verification guide for country-specific details.

Your data is safe

Lipi.ai never sees your bank account numbers, SSN, or identity documents. All of that information goes directly to Stripe, which is PCI Level 1 certified and processes payments for millions of businesses worldwide. We only receive your payout status (active/pending) and aggregate earnings totals.
